Long Time

Gentle Readers,

I am sorry for the hiatus, but I have been insanely busy. Let us start with Follies, which kept me in the theater 13 hours a day for a week. The show was awesome and I loved every minute, but it definitely focused my life on nothing else. I was able to front load work and catch up afterwards. There is nothing in life that excites me more than having a good team of people and leading them through and intense period of work.

Once Follies was over, I felt tired for days, like having jet lag. I was able to catch up on work, and then we had Fight Night. Every year in the Legendary Blue Horizon Gym in North Philly the MBA students box the Law School students. There was some incredible fighting, and one knockout at the end. I was the DJ and got a great view of the action. There was also the WGA election where my friend Joanne Liu won the job as the next President of the Wharton Graduate Association.

I finally caught up on work this week, and I am just in time to study for 4 exams at the end of this quarter and then pack for the Rugby trip to South Africa which is leaving on Friday. We are going to play some invitational matches with the University of Capetown and go shark-diving, wine tasting, and generally have some fun. I will tell you all about it when we get back.

The aftermath of DIP is starting to distill, and despite a slowdown in banking hiring for obvious reasons, people seem to be doing pretty well. I am very excited for Moscow.

I hope this finds everyone well, and I promise I will not take any more month long hiatuses this year.

Cheers
Alex
